How can I block random numbers/no caller id and notifications?

I have an iPhone and I would like to block random numbers and no caller id numbers and their notifications. I did Do Not Disturb already but I still see the notifications.

Your cellular provider can do that, contact them and ask them to block them for you. I did it and I haven't had a single no caller ID call since

Your carrier may be able to help.

As far as DND though that doesn't block calls nor prevents you from seeing notifications. As its name implies, it is so that you aren't disturbed when it is enabled.

  • When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
  • What's the difference between an 'unkown' caller and 'no caller ID'? This unknown number keeps ringing me, and i thought if someone blocked their numbers (on iphones) it comes up as no caller ID so i'm not sure if it is still a blocked number or a number that can't come trhough. But when i answer nobody speaks and they've rang one of my friends so its not a scam phone call also they don't speak at all so if it was a company of some sort they must of spoken so its probably a prank call but i wanna know the difference to make sure.
  • On iPhones can you block numbers from calling you and if that s yes how? One of my old friends who I hate now is constantly calling me and it's super annoying and I hate her. Can someone tell me how to block her from calling from my iPhone or something?
  • Mobile calls random numbers? I just got an iphone 4s on an optus plan. I have had a recurring problem when making voice calls. I will select a contact from my contact list and press "call". The phone then says… "calling" but I'm connected to a random number, not my contact. this has happened several times. What is going on?
