How to change my NAT status to Open?
Here are some details in case you need to know:
-I use the wireless mac Airport Extreme
-Comcast is my internet provider
- I use wireless for my iphone, macbook and xbox
It is set to moderate I think? So I need to know how to set it to open because my xbox live has low connection now when I play. As opposed to my old router which was open already.

You have 2 options.
Reset the router.
Log into your router setting and adjust your port forwarding.
If you don't know what port forwarding is, there are countless websites to direct you.
If your play on your xbox and your nat is stricted you xbox tell you how to make it open
Firstly, power cycle both your router and your modem. To do this, unplug both devices for 30 seconds before plugging it back it.
Make sure UPnP is enabled, if it is a feature of your router. If it is not, then open the XBOX live ports (UDP 88 UDP/TCP 3074) and ports 80 (for HTTP) and 53 (for DNS).
You can also try port forwarding and port triggering for each port (88 and 3074).
Power cycle your XBOX.
- Will there be IPv6 to IPv6 NAT after all? I don't like the idea of people on the internet being able to ping, port scan, and easily infect any devices on my home network. With IPv6 someone could ping my iPhone, port scan my laptop, etc. On IPv4 everyone has a single external IP address, and that is assigned to a router which acts as a hardware firewall. Will IPv6 have something like this where you can put all your devices behind a single IP? Will it be the default? Or are we all screwed, set to enter the IPv6 surveillance society?
- Why is my iPhone 4S not displaying the status bar when I'm on Safari? I was on YouTube and then I look up and the status bar on my iPhone wasn't there! It's there on any other app but on Safari it totally disappears. What is wrong with my iPhone? No my phone is new. I got it for my birthday about 6 months ago. It was in its box and my parents got it at best buy. So it's not jail broken.
- Why doesn't my Facebook status say via iPhone? I have an iPhone 5. I have the Facebook app installed and I use it. I have already put in my details in the Settings. My status always says "via Mobile". How do I get it to say " via iPhone" or "via iPhone 5"? It doesn't matter which one.
- Why do some people like to act like iPhones and iPads are status symbols? If it were, I mean you'd have the whole lifestyle to keep up. But a lot of people buy them. I'll admit they're both convenient but I find it a little weird to think anything of owning one. (This is in general, and not directed towards how people act to me - just my observation).
