How comes the effective iPhone crash message doesn't always work?

So me and my friends have been annoying eachother by sending that effective power message that turns people who have iPhones phones off and on. I read somewhere that for it to work the iPhone has to be updated to ios 8 but still sometimes when i send the message it doesn't work. I copy and paste it just the same but sometimes when i send it it doesn't work. This person keeps sending it to me and when i send it back it doesn't work. I know that the person has an iPhone and has ios 8 but i don't understand why it doesn't work.

If they have banner notifications turned off then that msg does nothing.

Because the people that read how to prevent it from working, are doing the very simple thing to keep it from happening. So while idiots a week later are still giggling like school girls, the smart folks have outsmarted the idiots.

And yes the person you are sending it to, IS IN FACT A SMART one. The person still sending and NOT figuring out why it's not working is… Well you know… Especially if they can still do it to you. LOL

  • What exactly does an effective power do to your iPhone? So I've been wondering about this effective power thing. So i guess when you send someone "effective. Power through iMessage, it crashes the recipient's iPhone. Does it completely ruin the phone's data or does the phone just restart, keeping all the data?
