How could I connect my iphone to my car to play music?

My car is from 1997 so it doesn't have an audio port. All I see is the cigarette lighter thing. Will that work?

That should charge your phone, buy not play music. It's time to upgrade your radio! ( Don't worry, using the proper dash kit and wiring harness, you can put the factory radio back in the car, and keep your new radio, To me the best time to upgrade your sound system, is when you don't have a car payment!

You can add and auxiliary audio input to any Ford Lincoln Mercury from 1995 and up most other vehicles to add auxiliary they need to be 1998 and up

It shows the track, the album artwork and the duration but it WLL NOT make a sound. Is there something i need to change on the settings?
