How do I disconnect a call from my Iphone 6 plus

When I call out to a company, & it's going through their recording of press 1 to 9, my Iphone 6 will not hang up. I press on the dial pad the phone on the phone pad receiver, & it still will not disconnect. I keep hearing the recordings going on the other other end. Even when I click off & try to go to something else on my Iphone, the recordings still are going. It is driving me nuts! So, then I have to completely shut down the phone & start it back up to stop the recording. Please help! I shouldn't have to shut the phone completely down to hang up or disconnect from the company I've called.

Press the power button and it should stop the call. Pressing the home button gets you back to your apps, but won't disconnect the call on ANY iPhone. If this doesn't work, take it to a repair shop or get a new phone.

  • Will it show up as a missed call if i call someone by accident for half a ring? So I accidentally called my ex on his iphone, but I quickly realized my mistake and hung up after a half ring. Like you know how when you're calling someone it rings, I hung up after the first riiiing. My question is, will it show up on his phone as a missed call? I tested it out on 2 friends. One iphone 5 and iphone 4. They both told me they didn't get a call. Am I in the clear?
  • Why iphone screen goes dim itself when i disconnect call? It only happens when i make a call. i've noticed auto brightness is off, screen brightness is set at 50 percent, let i disconnect call it goes to zero brightness if i scroll setting & brightness its still at 50 percent but screen is still dim, if i drag brightness icon it goes normal, please tell why its happening?

I have a new iPhone 6s Plus and need to listen in on conference calls without other people on the call hearing me type in the background or the kids, so how do I Mute the sounds on my end so I can listen in without disturbing the others on the call? My current phone keypad on the iPhone 6s Plus only shows 1-9,0 *, and # buttons.
