How do I get over nostalgia for the 80s?

I was born in 1972 so I was a teenager and a kid in the 80's and I just miss those times, lately I have been feeling very nostalgic for the 80s. I hate 2018, things suck nowadays honestly. People just stare down at phones all day, everyone just cares about memes, and things just aren't good nowadays. I found a video of myself from 1987 when I was 15 years old (that's when I started feeling nostalgic) and everyone just looked happier, we weren't using no social media and iPhones like everyone now, that video really brought back good memories. Music was better, movies were better, tv shows were better, society was better. How can I get over this? It's driving me crazy because I really hate living in this time. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I just keep my life simple as it was in the 80's. I still listen to the music and watch the TV shows and keep out the kind of people that would complicate my life.

Everyone has felt nostalgic for their childhood and times when they were younger. No taxes, no paying bills, much simpler life. But we can also have a simpler life. We don't need so much stress so don't worry too much about your job and résumé because in life, we can also enjoy the little things. Yeah, 2018 sure does feel like "ick" but you know what? Every single year has been like that. I was born in the early 2000s and sure miss being a kid in the 2005s and early 2010s. But life ever goes on, and so do we. We change. We change for the better, in most cases. Don't get yourself so stuck up in the past. :3 Life awaits more adventures to explore.
