How to put my itunes from my computer onto my iphone?
How do i put my itunes from my computer onto my iphone?
You sync your library with your phone when it's connected, or use iCloud.
You don't use the same version of itunes on an iphone as you do on a Windows PC or a Mac running OSX.
Itunes comes preinstalled on all iphones, you don't need to install an app from the app store
The iphone uses a different operating system [callled ios] and the itunes app for ios can sync with the itunes software on your PC and Mac. Go into the itunes settings on your iphone and sync your library.
If you need it there's tutorial here with step by step walkthrough: http://support.apple.com/.../kb/HT1386
To sync your iTunes data from your computer (Music, Movies, Apps, Books, etc.) you will need to connect your iPhone to the computer using either a shared Wi-Fi network or a working USB Data/Charging cable with the 30-pin connector that plugs into the bottom of the iPhone below the home button.
You can always use the USB cable to perform a standard sync to get your iTunes content onto your iPhone. Just plug the smaller USB end into the port on your computer and plug the other wider, 30-pin connector end into your iPhone. More than likely iTunes will open automatically when you plug in the phone, if not, you will need to open iTunes manually from your list of programs. Once iTunes is open look on the left side of the screen about half way down and locate the name of your iPhone with an arrow (">") to it's left under the "Devices" header. You can right click on the name of your iPhone and select sync to begin the process - or - from the main window select the sync button.
If you want to use Wi-Fi sync you will need to have your iPhone updated to iOS 5 or newer and iTunes 10.5 or newer. Assuming you keep your iPhone constantly updated when you receive a notification from Apple, then you will have the required versions to use Wi-Fi sync.
Below are the instructions to turn on Wi-Fi syncing. You will only need to perform these steps once and then you can sync over Wi-Fi from then on:
-Connect the iPhone to the computer using the USB cable
-Open iTunes and click on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch from the left side of the window
-Click on the "Summary" tab in iTunes
-Scroll down and click the checkbox next to "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi"
After you perform these steps the first time you can then on your iPhone go to Settings> General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync and select 'Sync Now'.
Keep in mind that your iPhone can only be synced with one instance of iTunes. So if you synced with another computer to get all of the content on your phone now, and then you sync to a 'new' computer, you may lose all of the content on your phone now. Always perform a backup before trying anything new.
