How do I reset an iPhone?
Ok. So I'm trying to sale my old phone but it's water damaged (the buyer knows) but I didn't reset it our log out of my iCloud is there any way I could do that with out having to get the phone fixed myself?
If it is the phone is inoperable, from the sounds of it, then you'd need to be able to use it to do that 1st.

Turn it on to reset it is the only way i know, you can't reset without it turn on.
Access Find My iPhone from any web enabled device.
Enter your Apple username and password. If you have enabled two-factor authentication also enter the code sent to your working phone or computer.
You'll then be able to see all your iOS and MacOS devices which have been linked to your Apple iCloud account.
Select the water-damaged phone: as it is not working the location won't be shown, but you can select an option to completely reset the phone the next time it is turned on and connects to data via the phone network or Wi-Fi.
