You'd have to back them up beforehand before doing the restore.
Put all your pics, files, memos, etc. Onto your sd card. Back everything up to the cloud. Take out the sd card. Reset. Done.
Make a backup of your pictures. You can upload to iCloud or use a 3rd party cloud storage such as DropBox.
There isn't a feature to reset to factory settings while keeping your pictures. Making a backup of your pictures is the only way
