How to sync iphone to new computer?
I have a macbook and just got the macbook air. I'm going to be using the macbook air as my main computer but i sync my iPad and iPhone the the old macbook. All their backed up files are on the macbook. How can i sync my iPhone to the macbook air and make a new backup of what's on the iPhone right now to the macbook air. I already used migration assistant.
1 make sure you got i tunes
2 connect your iphone or ipad to your new comp to charge
3 let the syncing begin!
Your iphone or ipad will automatically sync to your comp.
All you need to do is install iTunes (I heard that there are other programs to use, but I use Itunes) and, after downloading iTunes, you connect the iPhone/iPad to the computer (with iTunes opened) and something should appear on your screen saying that your iPhone/iPad is connected to another computer, do you want to sync it anyway. You click 'sync anyway' and it should automatically sync and back up.
(If nothing pops up, click the button that says the name of the iphone/ipad and press sync) If it stuffs up, you should still be able to get te data from your other computer.

Recently bought a new computer because my last computer failed on me, deleting all my programs from my computer, so I downloaded iTunes but I'm not sure how to put all of my files from my iPhone to my new iTunes on my new computer without completely wiping out everything.
