How to remove everything from a used iphone 4?

Purchasing a used iphone4 and just want to know that I can remove everything and it be like I just bought a new one

Plug it into iTunes and then click restore

Use the restore option or if your not using the latest version of IOS you can update it

Turn off your mobile and connect to your pc now press the power and home button together until the itunes open in your pc… It ask you to restore just click yes that's it very easy step

The easiest way is-
Go to settings
Select General
Select the last option Reset
Select Erase all content and settings.

After that connect to iTunes and select 'setup as new iPhone' option.
Or of you don't want to go through iTunes then you can setup directly from the iPhone itself, you just need to be connected to Internet.

It will take 5-10 minutes and you'll get it just like a newly bought one.

  • Will updating from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 remove everything? I know that if you 'Majorly' update your iPhone it will erase everything from your iPhone like updating ios 4 to ios 6, but what if you are just updating your iPhone from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 on the same version, is there any difference or it will also remove everything?
  • Used Iphone 4 used for Wi-Fi only? I'm thinking about buying an iphone 4, but i plan on using my wi-fi instead of getting a plan. Will I be able to do this? I'm going to be buying the Iphone used. Please don't ask why not just buy an ipod, the person who is selling it to me is giving it at a good price. & also, the seller had at&t. If decide to activate the iphone will i have to activate it wity at&t?

I lost my iPhone 4 on Saturday & I switched of the cellular data before I lost it & the Phone has a Passcode, Can the Person who stole my phone unlock the Phone in Namibia & will I still be able to locate if he removes the Passcode. I don't have the serial # My dad brought it from Germany without a box. & I tried Locating & Locking it but its currently offline
