How do we remove Personal Hotspot off our iPhone?
I just upgraded to iOS 6 on my Verizon iPhone 4. I was playing around in the settings, and found a personal Hotspot feature. I know all about it, but I never signed up for it to be on my iPhone. I have a Hotspot on my Verizon Account, its a special device that only does the Hotspot. I was wondering, Can I remove it from my iPhone easy, or do I have to go to the Verizon Store and have them do it for me.
All the iPhones had this feature before iOS 6, except verizon ones because of their policy. I think it's there because of an FCC and verizon lawsuit or something similar that happened this year that determined that Verizon had to allow their costumers to use this feature.
You can't remove it. If you are not going to use it, just leave it turned off.
Its a standard feature of the phone, but some service providers require you to have it activated.
- Why can't my desktop connect to our Wi-Fi at home but does connect to moble hotspot? Suddenly my desktop won't connect to our Wi-Fi. All other devices such as laptops, phones and tablets connects just fine. I tried connecting it to my iphone's hotspot and it works. I tried to unistall and reinstall the wireless adapter but still won't work. I also tried to reboot the router and even tried to change the channel but still failed to make it work. Do you have any other way to make it work? I have windows 7 on my desktop.
