How to pre-order the iPhone 5? Call carrier? Or Apple?

Assuming that the iPhone 5 is announced tomorrow and they start taking pre-orders, would I call AT&T (my cell phone carrier) or Apple directly?

Also, would I be able to apply my upgrade to it right away for upgrade pricing? Or must all pre-orders of this type be paid in full?

You can pre-order from your wireless provider if they post it, if not you can check apple.com Pricing & Upgrading varies from At&t. All you have to do is wait and see.

You can pre-order from Apple or your carrier's website. Pre-order is meant for everybody especially if you're signing up with AT&T.

  • When the heck is apple going to let people pre order the iphone 5? What time do you know that the will open it? They were supposed to at midnight and I've been waiting for 31 minutes now.

  • Should I pre order the iphone 5? I figured this was a no-brainer, but when I went to pre-order it, they said it will be shipped in 14-21 business days. So I would be receiving it well after the September 21 release date. Will I be able to get my hands on one on the actual release date, or are they going to be sold out everywhere? I would probably be going later on in the day because of work if that makes any difference.
