How does the AT&T share an upgrade work?

Share an upgrade
You can share an upgrade with another person on your account as long as you're upgrading within the same device
category. In other words, you can upgrade from a phone to another phone, a tablet to another tablet, and so on.
Would i be eligible to use my mom's upgrade to get an iPhone?
Yes.
Just remember that if you don't already have a smartphone, then getting an iPhone will require a data plan, which raises your monthly bill.
- What is the different between full upgrade and early upgrade? So AT&T said I qualify for a early upgrade on my iPhone now but I quality for a full iPhone upgrade in october. What is the difference?
- Upgrade with the Share Everything plan? I currently have an LG EnV Touch with internet access on it. I got it two years ago when the share everything plan hadn't started yet. Now that my contract is up and it is time for me to get a new phone, will my upgrade give me a "dumb phone" with internet or will I have to get a smart phone to continue to have internet access now that my family has the share everything plan? Also I was told that if i got the iPhone, it would be $50 a month? Is that true? Why or why not?
