How does the Xperia Z1 compare with its direct competitors?

It is a likely upgrade for me in November when I have the money but how does it fair against its competitors like the iPhone 5S and LG G2?

The Samsung Galaxy S II (2) was released in MAY 2011 & has 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor with an 8Mp camera.

18 months later November 2012 Apple puts a 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor & 8Mp camera in a phone and call it the iPhone5

Guess what is in the IP5S… Another 8Mp camera to add to the DUAL CORE.

THIS IS THEIR 3RD SUCH COMBINATION. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Now just accept that the fact SGS II has won 7 PHONE OF THE YEARS AWARDS… 7
Apple IMO it would seem are a little peeved as since the IP4 was the IPhone when the SGS II launched

There's a noise coming that the IP5S has posted some remarkable bench mark that are far superior to the that of the leader the S4 (A BIG tick in the PLUS column)

The minus column
A)There are ONLY 3 new features on the IP5S not on the IP5
ONE, bigger battery (which has less capacity than the 2011 SGS II battery!)
TWO, Touch ID or finger print scan.
THREE, the A7 chip which is again is a customised chip. The A7 is optimised to work best in the IP5S like the A6 before in the IP5.

B)The IP5S is the most expensive phone on the planet
C) The same 8 items are just CARRIED FORWARD TO THE IP5S
