How hard is it to install an in dash touchscreen stereo?

Ill be getting a new car very soon and it will either be a chevy cobalt, an aveo or a pontiac g6.Im worried that it will not have an auxillary input to play my music through my iphone. I'm very tech savvy but very weary about tearing apart my car, my new one at that. Could best buy install it for me?

You wouldn't be tearing your car apart, you'd be making it better, and stronger, if you buy the right quipment and its installed properly. Best buy is basic install. I prefer a higher standard of install for my gear at a quality custom audio shop.

When looking at your vehicle purchase, find one that has a double-din stereo already in it stock. Not too sure which models have this stock, but look into it. Most touch screen stereos take 2 "U's" to install. A "U" is a unit slot, whereas most stereos take up 1 U (or DIN) and 90% of touch screen stereos or NAV units use 2 U's (or double DIN). Unless you go with a pull-out or retracting touch screen which can fit in a single din slot and the screen flips down and retracts into the unit when not in use. It is really up to you. Installing a unit in most newer vehicles is not hard to do, just make sure you have the right wiring harness. Best Buy can do this install for you or just sell you the required harness to install it yourself. There's no point in spending more money taking it somewhere else. A stereo either gets installed or it doesn't. There's no "good install" or "bad install". A bad install is not an install at all and best buy will stand by their work and fix any issues with the install (if there's any).
