How is the battery life of an IPhone 5?

I'm debating whether or not I should switch to an IPhone. I know my IPod batter lasts less than four hours, so I was wondering how the IPhone 5 was? Also, are you happy with the phone overall?

It ok, still have to charge it every night.

I've got an iPhone 5 and despite what people say, I think the battery lasts a lot. I use it for everything during the day (listening to music, surfing the net, Facebook, YouTube, and playing a lot) and at the end of the day I have between 6 and 8 hours of use, plus some hours of stand by (in Wi-Fi).

With 3G connection unfortunately it is very different. It lasts about half than in Wi-Fi. But it's normal, because nowadays no phone lasts very much in 3G.

I've always on: GPS, push notification of several apps (and automatic luminosity of the display).
If you use it as a normal telephone you don't need to recharge it every day. And during he night, in 10-12 hours with offline modality, battery goes 0% down.
