How is the video quality on the iPhone 4S? Is it similar to an HD 1080p camcorder?
It's better. My friend recorded me with his, and uploaded it to YouTube. The highest quality wasn't 1080p. It went into "Original" which lagged my laptop like crazy!

I have an iPhone 4S and it does record HD video with excellent quality and according to the official specs at Apple's website it records video at 1080p as well. The downside is that it does not have all the standard features of a dedicated camcorder, for example you can't zoom in or out while recording video on the iPhone (only while taking pictures).
The iPhone 4S video quality is pretty good, comparable to an HD camcorder from about three years ago.
As others have mentioned, there's no optical zoom, just a fixed focal-length lens.
As to other caveats, the audio quality isn't as good as a dedicated camcorder; the iPhone is more prone to wind noise. Dedicated camcorders have better image stabilization features.
Perhaps most importantly, the iPhone's video function isn't that good in low light. If you buy a dedicated HD camcorder, you will get much better low light performance.
Still the iPhone 4S's video performance is pretty amazing for a device whose primary function isn't HD video recording.
- Why is there no option for 1080p on YouTube on my iphone 5s? - 1 There's no option for 1080p on my iphone 5s in the YouTube app. There used to be the option on my iPad air but it has since disappeared and the highest I can get is 720p.

The good android phones that cost more then the mid range phones have 1440p 1080p displays yet apples is slowing catching up to that when android been doing it for awhile? Iphone 6s plus is the is one of the iphones to have a 1080p display but that phone came out in 2016 why i say slowing catching up to full HD lol

- Why does my video have such bad video quality? I uploaded my video to the computer and it had great video quality, then I uploaded it to Facebook and YouTube and It looked horrible. It there anything I can do to change that? Save it a different way or something? I see all these YouTube videos that have been filmed by iPhone's and they have great quality. Shouldn't my 14mp camera have even better!
