It totally depends on how much you use it. I don't have one My last one was working great even after 3 years, no issues at all… Then I figured it makes no sense not to upgrade when I could get a new contract, sell my old, and then have new and faster hardware for basically nothing. So now I have iphone 5S… Until this contract runs out and I do it again. Depends on your usage Iphone as a device works fine for 2-3 years and goes on to being an ok phone after that. (Depends how you use it)
Its battery will normally last 6hours-4days depending what you use it for( 3d gaming - hours, using it just as a phone with occasional mail and music - days)
