How long will it take to download ios8 onto my iPhone 5s?
I've heard stories where it has taken 2+ hours to install ios8, I'm also terrified that it will go into recovery mode making my iPhone not turn on, and I'll have to restore it because I honestly have no idea how to, i know nothing about technology xD Does installing vary depending on the lastest iPhones?

I tried installing last night on my iPhone 5, it said 1000 hours until finished(2 months). Just wait a few weeks so the demand dies down. The apple servers can't handle 4 million people downloading all at once.
Unless there's a known issue for the phone going into recovery mode, it's just going to show a spinning circle for a while until it's downloaded and installed.
The install time depends on how much people are doing it at any one time, easing up on Apple's servers. It should be ok now.
