How much data does personal hotspot on iPhone use?
I have a iPhone 4S and were going to the beach. And I want to use my MacBook Pro while we're going but I won't have a Internet connection. So I found out I can use personal hotspot. But how much data does it use? Is it the same as it would be if I used my iPhone?
Yes, it works just like your iPhone. It depends on what you're doing on your Mac Book.
Streaming music and videos will eat up data fairly quickly. Otherwise, general web browsing shouldn't be so bad. Keep in mind that laptops will load full blown web pages with active content, unlike the data-friendly pages loaded by your iPhone, so you might use up a bit more data than you're used to.
