How much did blackberry get paid for selling bbm rights to android and iphone?
Or did android and ios buy rights off of RIM/Blackberry but for how much.Me and my friends were wondering this as bbm is expanding to ios+android running jellybean or ice cream sandwich (or above)
BlackBerry isn't getting paid by Apple or Android and they sure didn't sell BBM to them. Where did you even get a stupid idea like that from? Like do you really think BlackBerry will sell BBM to those two? HELL NO!
Let me explain
BBM might have been the reason to buy the older BlackBerry's but that's not the case with the new BlackBerry10 devices. This platform bought new features to the table and a whole different mobile ecosystem with no lags, malware, and better security all with QNX Neutrino which is a microkernel OS that enables the use of Flash and HTML5 capabilities and is prone to crashes, also known to be embedded in systems around us such as social networks, cars, hospitals and space shuttles to name a few( uses the C++ computing programing language (QNX is used in systems where the cost of failure is very high"- QNX CEO Dan Dodge) and is an OS compiler. They already gave people on the other platforms the opportunity to witness the BlackBerry10 OS from their phones (http://global.blackberry.com/static/blackberry-10/glimpse/index.html) and that was one reason why people switched and now they are bringing BBM to other platforms to lure in more people. BlackBerry has the most powerful mobile computing operating system (QNX) so seeing how BBM will be on the iPhone and Android platforms I say it's a way for them to experience the new BlackBerry Messenger app new features (video chat and screen sharing) to regain their market share that they lost to the iPhone and Android phones. On their part its positive but even if they don't gain consumers they're still making money off the other platforms by allowing BBM service on other phones.
- What are my rights - went into shop, paid, but turns out I was mis sold the items? I went into a shop the other day with £350, spent the full amount on goods - paid via contactless app (iPhone). Turns out however that the payment was declined, but the cashier wasn't aware at the time and sent me on my way. A week has passed and a letter has been sent to my address stating that I haven't paid (this is how I found out) What are my rights to the goods? Obviously a good man will pay but is this their fault thus, without my resolution, they're out of pocket?
- Is it possible to get BBM (blackberry messenger) on Samsung galaxy S3? I wanna buy a samsung galaxy s3 but I want to know if its possible to download BBM? And if not, then what about Iphone 4s?
- Is BBM for iPhone and BBM for Android coming out in 2013 or not EVERYWHERE is talking about the release of BBM for iPhone and BBM for Android. I really want to download BBM on Andorid and my sister wants BBM for iPhone, and it was said that it was going to be released this summer (today in fact) but so far I can't get it. Can you tell me when it will be out, how much it will cost, and where I can download it from, and why it is not out yet!
- I'm a BB user, why can't I send message to iPhone and Android users in BBM? BlackBerry Messenger is now available for Android and iPhone. I added friends who are Android and iPhone users. But I can't send messages to them. Other BB users can send messages to them. I'm in postpaid, but a postpaid friend can send to them. I tried deleting them and adding them again, I also tried removing my battery and memory card, all to no avail. What else do I do? Uninstall my BBM?
