How much does it cost for MTN International roaming on a TopUp contract?
I'm going to india for abt 3 weeks and i don't think i can live without my iphone… I'm thinking of activating int roaming only for those three weeks… Would it be better than getting a whole new sim card in india? How much does it cost?

I travel very often and found it better to get a local number at the country you are heading to and rather leave a voice message on your phone or then not answer if someone would call and rather call back from the foreign phone.
SA roaming rates can munch quite a bit off your balances.
I agree with the other post as well & do the same. You will however still need to have your phone activiated for roaming - sometimes they can put a block on the phone so best go to your provider and check. To activiate roaming if you have had a contract for a while shouldnt cost you anything - but I'm speaking from an SA point of view, so best you check. Also just ask for call charges etc. India is one of the more expensive countries for calls too so do some homework - if you can get Skype on your phone that might be better with a data package.
