How much does it cost to mail something to Nigeria?

I'm sending a Iphone to my buddy but I'm not sure how much does it cost to mail fromthe US to Nigeria. Should I use USPS or is it better Fedex or UPS. I need to send it soon please help

Never send anything of value to Nigeria unless it's through a service like UPS, DHL, etc as postal theft is a major problem. Anything sent USPS will probably not arrive at its destination and FedEx won't ship to Nigeria as there are too many fraudulent transactions out of the country
It's going to cost you about $100 to ship a phone to Nigeria. Your friend would be better off just buying the phone there as it will be cheaper and will work with Nigerian phone providers. Your US phone won't work in Nigeria anyway

  • Posting something using Royal Mail? I may sound stupid but I'm sending a small package (iPhone charger) to a friend of mine who lives in Manchester (I'm in London) I've put a 2nd class stamping on the package do I have to go in to a Royal Mail or can I just put it in a Royal Mail post box?

I shipped someone an iphone 4 to nigeria and they sent me a fake email that my paypal was going to be credited, it was a scam and now my phone is sitting at some postal office in Nigeria. Simple question, is there anything I can do?
  • IPhone being shipped to Nigeria? I'm selling an iPhone and This guy from Nigeria said he was interested in buying it and he would pay all the costs of shipping and handling. He said its for his cousin who lives there. He sent me an e-transfer but I don't receive the money until I have a tracking # which means I have to ship it before I receive the payment. Would you consider this a scam?
