How much does the iPhone 5 cost? - 2

I know that it is $199 for 16 GB, $299 for 32 GB, … All that good stuff.
I have never had an iPhone before though, and I hear that (monthly) it can cost around 100 dollars, which in my opinion is kind of a slap in the face, even considering how wonderful the phone is supposed to be, because my family (5 people) pays less than 2 hundo per month combined. Is it really that expensive? I'd imagine it costs more considering the free messaging to other iOS users plus use of data/text/calling on it. What are your previous experiences with previous iPhones?

They go from $199 to $599 with contract without contract lowest is $299. And for plans, unlimited talk and text with 300mb is $80 but a good deal they have is unlimeted talk and test with 6gb for $120 a month. You can make your own plan on Apple.com. $200 for 5 people is great, it may change when you combine plans.
