How much extra does an iPhone cost per month?

I was thinking about getting an iPhone 5 and I was wondering how much extra it would cost per month… I always heard that it costs extra but I could never find out how much it actually was. My service is Verizon Wireless. Thanks!

Added (1). I'm in Ohio, USA. I have experience with Apple (because it's the best company) and I love it. I just haven't had an iPhone yet. Only an iPod touch.

I can't say exactly, as it depends on which country you're in and where you buy the iPhone from. If you're in the US, I'd say it will probably cost you an extra $80-$90 for the phone service.

Whether or not it's worth it really depends on what you're going to use it for. I love that my iPhone cuts down on the amount of devices I need to buy. It's like having a GPS, mp3 player, camera, and a phone combined. It's so much more convenient than lugging around so many clunky gadgets. I wouldn't trade my iPhone for anything!

Applications will also cost you a little bit of money, but they make the iPhone truly worth the money. I love photography and studying languages, so I use a few iPhone applications that let me study Farsi on my way to work. There are also really amazing photography applications, like Blux Camera. It is by far my favorite, as it lets me take 8 MP pictures and download them directly to the internet. It automatically compensates for snow, rain, dim lighting, etc. Plus, I can add cool vintage filters… So I hardly use my camera.

So, even though the iPhone is expensive, it can keep you from needing to buy other expensive devices, like a camera, mp3 player, GPS, etc.
