How much internet would it take to use 1gb of data on iPhone?

I'm getting my first iphone this week and just wanted to know. I will most likely watch a small amount of youtube and netflix but mostly just search on google and go on facebook and twitter.

If you have 4G network then it will use lots of Data. If you use your phone in Wi-Fi most, then 1gb is enough. If you watch videos of high quality in youtube then it will need much data. And 1gb can last 15days without 4G if you do light works like only surfing and a little video watching. But 1gb data won't last two days if you do heavy tasks like downloading large files.

  • Would 1gb of data be enough for the iphone 4s? I plan on getting the 1gb of data per month and wondering if it would be enough for me because i don't want to go over and pay loads of money. I would be on twitter, instagram and snapchat mostly, but connecting to Wi-Fi when available. Also should i turn my data off everytime i can connect to Wi-Fi to save data or will it not be used when connected to Wi-Fi? When should i turn data off.
  • Would 1GB of data be enough for my needs? Ok so i have an iPhone 4S and my data allowance is 1GB of data a month would that be enough for receiving emails, watching the odd youtube video maybe 3-5 videos a month (mostly very short ones) and browsing small websites?
  • Would 1GB data be enough for iphone5s? Thinking of getting iPhone5s would 1gb be enough I'll only be using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, snapchat the usual stuff really.
  • Just got an iphone 5 love to use skype how much can I get with 1gb? I have family in america which I talk to and skype a lot! My iphone has 1gb of internet which is free and I'm not going to go over that. So how much does 1gb using skype? Like how much time does that give me on skype?
