How much is an iPhone 5 worth without a contract?

IPhone prices don't change from launch until after the successor model comes out. As far as prices of the 5 now, that is up to those that have them to sell since Apple discontinued it when the 5c & 5s came out.
- Is it better to buy a iphone with a contract or without a contract? Because with a contract you have to pay monthly fees $60 - $100 and without a contract you pay more for the phone without the monthly fees
- How much would an iphone 4 cost without a contract? This may sound stupid but i'm not sure how this works. I know getting them no contract is way more expensive but do you still have to pay for monthly data?
