This boy broke cracked my iphone 5c to the point where i can't even see what i'm typing. I'm getting a new one since i had insurance on it but he has to pay a price since he's the one who broke it.
If it is being replaced by insurance that's what you paid the insurance to cover,
the kid may be responsible for the breakage but he is no way responsible to pay anything, your insurance covered it
Actually that's called "double indemnity" and it's fraud and is illegal to get paid twice for something. You said the insurance company paid for it (a new one) and so if you' demand him to pay a price then you're illegal in doing so.
The deductible? You also have paid a price to learn a lesson. Keep your phone to yourself unless it's an emergency.
