How much space do messages take up on iphone?
Minuscule. Thousands of messages don't even take up the space of a single photo.
Very, very, very little.
In relative terms, about as much space as a single salt grain occupies in a large room.
If just text messages, then MBs could cover years worth.
If iMessages (with media) depends on what the media in question was. You could check that in the Settings.

I have only like 300 photos in my iphone and it still says that it takes up 4GB and its frustrating since i've already deleted over 700 photos and my phone still does indicate much change of my storage space. Could it be that there's some hidden location all my photos have been saved or something?
