How much would an AT&T Family iPhone plan cost?
AT&T, washington state
how much would it cost (DISREGARDING THE COST OF THE IPHONE BY ITSELF) for a family plan of:
4 iPhones
unlimited data
unlimited texting
unlimited minutes
would it be more or less expensive if we had the following plan:
3 iphones with unlimited data
1 regular phone with no data
all 4 phones would have unlimited texting and minutes.
Starting out here, AT&T charges $120 a month for two lines for unlimited calling, and $50 a month for each additional line up to 5 lines total.
That would make the talk portion of the bill $220, and that is not including text or data, yet. Unlimited texting for all lines on the account is $30, or $20 per line if done individually.
Data costs depend on if you want to share a pool of data or not. There are three choices for smartphone data if you want:
3 GB /month for $30 a month (for one line only)
5 GB /month for $50 a month (for one line only)
300MB/month for $20 a month (for one line only)
Unless you do very light browsing away from a Wi-Fi point, the 300 MB data plan is too little for a smartphone like the iPhone.
Assuming you had 4 iPhones, and wanted 3GB each, that would add $120 to the bill a month ($90 if you went with 3 iPhones and no data for the 4th line. )
For 4 iPhones the pre-tax total thus far is $370 a month, $340 for 3 iPhones, with the individual data plans.
Now, I will delve into their shared data plans:
AT&T's mobile share is a bit different in how it is set up.
The cost per line varies with the amount of data selected.
For 4 smartphones with 10 GB of shared data, the monthly pre-tax cost would be $240, for unlimuted talk and text with the shared pool of data.
If you were to just have three smartphones and one basic phone, the cost would indeed go down, but by how much depends on what data bucket you select.
Attached is a link to AT&T's mobile share page.
Keep in mind that there will be taxes and fees that will add between 5% and 30% to the bill, such as local and state sales taxes, E911 fees, and that lovely USF fee that gives away phones to people that often do not need them.
- Would It Cost More To put an extra line on an AT&T unlimited family plan? Well we have been with AT&T for a while, and we still have the unlimited data, unlimited text and unlimited call. So I was wondering if it would cost a lot more to add one an extra line. The plan only has 2 GoPhones and 2 SmartPhones on it. So could one of the GoPhones be replaces my an iPhone? ( GoPhones are $10 a month )
- What would be the average cost per month for a family plan on AT&T? For 2 people with smart phones, one with an iphone and one with a droid, and we would both have the lowest internet cost (I believe its 25 dollars per phone). Also this wouldn't include the actual cost of buying the phones, I'm just talking about per month.
- Iphone 5 on an AT&T family plan cost? I want to buy an iphone 5, but i was wondering how much it would cost a month. What i would like included: texting calling (i don't call much) Wi-fi My mom has an iphone so if i got one, it could work for a family plan right? We have AT&T if that helps. Thank you! If you can put how much each thing above costs separately, that would be great! I also heard you have to pay $10 the first month because of the addition right?
- If you put an IPhone on a verizon plan how much would it cost? My family so far on the plan has an iPhone 5 and a hotspot. How much would it cost to get another iPhone on there such as another IPhone 4 or IPhone 5? I know it's $10 to add another line, but would you need to pay the retail price too?
