How much would an iPhone 5s cost without data? And what exactly is data?
Okay so when my 2 year contract is up in August, I'm getting the iPhone 5s. The only problem is, my mom doesn't want me to have data. Can you get a plan without data? And also, how much is an iPhone 5c without data?
Wouldn't matter too much since a data plan is mandatory for smartphones like an iPhone. A data plan is internet access from the carrier, to use wherever you want to access the internet & Wi-Fi isn't available. The iPhone 5c is also a data mandatory phone.
The cost depends on how much memory you have on the phone but it will cost about $600 and up. The more memory the higher the cost.
Data is used for the GPS, emails and surfing the net as well as any app that needs the net to work like Facebook.
Some carriers won't allow no data but there are a few you will have to look around to find one.
However if you have no data, all your phone will be able to do is make and receive phone calls and texts and use Wi-Fi which will let you on the net. You need data to use iTunes so unless you use Wi-Fi to access the net you won't be able to download any apps.
All carriers require data.
The phone is like 600, and depending where you live I believe you need data with your plan. You can still have a cheap plan with data. Mines 45$ and I have unlimited texting and calling, and all that stuff with 1gb of data. And data just means you can go online without any Wi-Fi
