How much would an iPhone cost with rogers and do they charge a lot?

I can't go into rogers because i've been so busy, but i have a Samsung and would like to upgrade to an iPhone4s. I'm on a 3 year contract in Canada, BC and i would like to know how much it would cost me to change my phone before the contract is up. When my sister changed, they charged her 225 for the new phone + an activation fee & she had to pay off her contract. Is that true that they would do that?

Yes that's how they do it. What ever is left on your contract will need to be paid immediately. As an iPhone 4S is so old they will probably give it to you for free. Its 3 generations old. Switching from a Samsung will be a downgrade though Samsungs are 4g and iPhone 4S is only 3G you need to get the 5 to get 4g on an iPhone.

Also as your use to having the ability to do more on an android os you will probably get frustrated with all the apple restrictions.

You will be better off to just get a newer Samsung galaxy s series, the new ones will be out early next year.

Rogers isn't the best Telus gives you more flexibility. You would be better waiting till your contract expires and hold out for a better deal. When it expires your phone doesn't stop working it just becomes a month to month with the same plan and the longer you hold out the more they offer in good deals to keep you as a customer.

Take all that into consideration before you do anything.

  • Why do Apple charge so much for iPhones when they cost like $50 to make? I heard that to make an iphone in China costs Apple $50 a piece so why then do they sell them for £500+ ?
  • What will it cost me to get out of my 2 year contract with rogers? I have had my blackberry since September when i got my blackberry i got a 2 year plan. I have only been through about 7 months of the 2 years. My phone absolutely sucks. I want to get an iPhone 4s. How much will it cost me in the end?
  • Rogers Iphone 4S Sent away for repair to lock button, approx cost and time? I have just sent away my Iphone 4S due to a lock button which malfunctions. They charged me an initial fee jut to look at it, and potentially a fee to repair it. I'm wondering if this is an issue they will repair, and if so what the approximate cost will be. I'm also wondering what the typical turn around time is for phones which are sent out for repair is.
  • IPhone loses charge overnight.a lot of charge. Why? My iPhone 4S was on 5.1.1 but i did restore the software last week and used a backup to also restore the files. Since then I have been losing about 35-40% of my battery overnight, I'm a very power-conscious person, I only use wi-fi, 3g when i need to and i usually keep everything off except data, notifications are to a minimum and location services are off as well as brightness being as low as possible. What is going on? Any help is appreciated
