How to access my iTunes library from my iPhone wirelessly?
I know about the sync over Wi-Fi setting but my USB ports don't work and I tried it on my dad's laptop and it just doesn't work,
is there an app I could use to listen to my iTunes library via my iPhone?
It should be in the "Music" app that comes installed with the phone.
Yes but why can't you get your USB to work? That's a problem. Your other options are to use "home sharing" within iTunes and I don't think it's very intuitive. I don't like it. The easy solution is pay apple $25 a year to backup all of your songs to the internet and it will automatically push them out to up to 5 different devices. It's called "iTunes Cloud".It will sync every time you're connected to Wi-Fi and iTunes is open.
- Will downloading a new iTunes ruin my old iTunes library? I tried connecting my new iPhone 5 to my iTunes but it said that it wouldn't connect because my version of iTunes was really old (from 2010) and I never updated. It said I need to download a new version of iTunes (10.7 onwards) for it to be compatible with my iPhone. But my question is, IF I download a new version of iTunes, will all my old songs on my old iTunes disappear? Because if I had to re-download my whole library, I would seriously cry. That would take the rest of my life.
- Why does iTunes need internet access to sync music CDs onto my library? I noticed my internet went out and while syncing music cd's I noticed it didn't show the track names without internet out of curiosity I'm wondering why it needs access to syncing cd's onto my iTunes?
- In itunes is there any way to select multiple songs to send to itunes library? I just mixtapes from datpiff and the only way i could put it in my library was to select manage songs manually under my devices. I didn't know that it would delete my songs from my iphone to put that on but it did. I only have songs from itunes, not beemp3 or datpiff.luckily all my songs are saved under the music file and its 319 songs. Is there any way i can select all them to put in my library? I know about the hold shift trick but its not working.
- How would you wirelessly stream music from your iTunes to your iPhone? So I have an apple TV and its connected wirelessly to my computer so I can listen to music from my itunes library through the Apple tv with no problem. Can the same thing be done with my iPhone, I want to plug it into my dock to listen to music but I don't want to put actual music on the phone, so I figured I could just stream it to the phone from my computer like I do with the apple tv. Can you even do this and if so how?
