How to access notes on broken iphone 4s?

I recently upgraded to a newer iphone 4s because my previous 4s had a completely shattered screen. I want to access the notes section as well as my contacts on my old 4s but I can't get it to connect with a laptop. I don't think it will turn on either, but previously I could not use the screen and still imported my photos to my laptop (it was completely black and the only indication that it was on was a thin green line on the right side of the screen). However, now that I've upgraded, I'm worried I won't have access to my old data. Is there anyway I can get to it?

I'm pretty sure you could have just sent the shattered screen one for a new screen but I would suggest going to an apple store and asking them what you can do.

You don't know how damaged it could be and it sounds pretty bad if it won't even turn on…

  • Why does my iPhone notes app.delete some notes? Some have been there for over a year others just disappear after a few days. I have not (to my knowledge) done anything differently.
  • When apple replaces a broken iphone, do you get to keep the old broken one? The back camera on my iPhone 4s broke (just stopped working), so I called Apple and I have an appointment set up to replace the old phone with a brand new one. But, I want to know if when they give me the new phone, will they let me keep the old one? The phone still works fine except for the camera. In fact, it's almost perfect. And obviously I want to sell the old one on ebay to make a boat load.
  • Someone's got access to my iphone notes? All my notes from my iphone have been duplicated to my ex boyfriends phone when he opens up 'notes' mine are in place of his… I have icloud and everything switched off… I use an iphone 4 ios6 why has this happened? his phone is an iphone 4S ios7
  • My iPhone says that my Notes is taking up 1.79 GB of storage. I only have 3 notes, and there isn't a lot of text in them. How do I fix this? Recently there were a lot of notes on my phone, but I deleted most of them until there were only three notes left. However, my phone still says my Notes takes up 1.79 GB. I tried writing a really lengthy note to see if the GB would go higher, but it didn't change. I don't want to delete my three remaining notes, which have very little text in them. I doubt that these notes are taking up 1.79 GB. What is the problem here, and how do I fix it?
