How to add emoticons to tweets on the iPhone (thumbs up etc)?

There seems to be something that everyone has that enables them to put pictures in their tweets like thumbs up or a heart and they are all the same type. How do I do this?

Download Emoji from the App store and then go to Settings-General-Keyboard-Keyboards-Add new Keyboard and you'll find Emoji.

  • Why can't the people I'm texting you, see my emoji emoticons? Okay so, I text both my friends. And they have IPhones. One has an IPhone 4, and the other has a IPhone 5. And I have an IPod touch, why can't they see my emoji emoticons! They said all they see is "*", why is this? Can someone help?!
