How to add songs from my iphone to itunes?

I just got a bunch of songs from a friend and in order to do that I had to sync to her computer but now I want to sync back to mine but i have to delete all the songs first. I know I can't get around deleting the songs but I'd like to save them so I can re-download the music. I have an Iphone 5s if that matters. What is the best free way of doing this? I know you can do it on a windows computer but I have a macbook pro and it's a little more complex.

Plug the iPhone cable into your computer's USB port.

Plug the other end of the iPhone cable into the port on the bottom of your iPhone. This will cause iTunes to auto-launch. Your iPhone will appear in the menu to the left-hand side of the screen.

Double-click your iPhone icon on the left-hand navigation menu in iTunes.

Type in the name by which you wish to refer to your iPhone. Your iPhone is now added to iTunes.

  • Why can't I delete or add songs onto my iPhone through iTunes 11.0.4? I can delete songs directly off of my iPhone but even if they're deleted, iTunes still says they're on my iPhone. I also can't delete any songs off of OR add any songs onto my iPhone through iTunes. What is happening. I have fully updated both my iPhone and iTunes.

For some reason, iTunes won't download ALL the songs to my iPhone 6s from my PC. For example if I want to download a whole album it will only download few songs from that album. Anyone know how to fix this problem? I also noticed how long it takes to download just few songs from my PC to my iphone 6s which is really frustrating.
