How to add songs to my iPhone without erasing the ones already there?
My friend gave me their iPhone to add some songs. I already have the songs in my iTuned library and a playlist made ready to add the music except it wants to delete all their old music. I don't know how to do it.
Why would you try connect somebody else's iPhone to your iTunes? IPhone and iPod users do this all the time and make it harder on themselves. It's like you guys are trying to reinvent the wheel. Songs are files - you can copy them to a flashdrive so your friend can copy from their to his own computer and import into his own iTunes. That way, he won't have to worry about trying to trick an iPhone into connecting to 2 iTunes libraries. It just comes from one iTunes.
