How to avoid shaking while taking a photo?

I want to take a photo of a me holding a plant, and it has to have my hand in there. But I can't stop shaking my hand! What should I do?

If you own a tripod and a shutter release, use them. Otherwise you should set your camera down on a surface and use the timer.

If you must free-hand, take deep and slow breaths and exhale while you take the photo (like a sniper actually). Get a solid object to rest the camera on. That will steady your hand. Use a tripod or something like that. A really good tripod is definitely one of the best investments you can make when you do photography. If you are shooting hand held, I find breathing out, holding my breath and then clicking the shutter helps. Practice. Also using found objects to brace against - door frames, trees, fence post, etc.

And buy a solid tripod.

  • Why is my iphone 5 screen shaking? About three days ago my iphone randomly turned off and when I turned it back on it took a long time to turn on. It would turn purple or red and would just turn back off. I even had a grey line down the middle of my screen turn up. I just want to know how to make the shaking stop. I've tried reseting but it didn't work. Has anyone had this happen? And I heard that it may just be the iOS 6? Is that true?

I'm thinking maybe album artwork? If so, how can I delete the album artwork? Thanks for the help! There's two different sections for videos and photos, and all my photos AND videos are deleted.   • Taking photo's of yourself with flash.accurate? And I mean by an iphone or any phone for that matter, not by a really good camera. Everytime I take a photo of myself with my iphone without the flash, my face looks so big and gross and it's definitely not what I see in the mirror, its embarrassing. With the flash though, it gives my face definition and makes everything look better. what's more accurate of your appearance? A camera with or without a flash?
  • Something shaking in iPhone 5 EarBuds? This is more than the normal bass rattle. There's literally something detached inside the right EarBud and anytime I take a step, move my head, or anything at all, I hear it jingling inside! It's so obnoxious! Is there an easy fix or should I just try to get another pair from the Apple Store?
