How to backup an iphone 4, then restore all info to iphone 5 using a mac?
I just got an iphone 5, but i want to put everything from my old iphone 4 onto that one. I have a mac, so if that helps. Then good. Can someone please tell me how to back up a phone to icloud then restore it to a different on?
All you need to do is sign in with your Apple log in info in your new iPhone 5, everything should be downloaded to the new iPhone 5.
But if you are still not sure about it, then use the same log in info on both phone, sync the iPhone 4 to the Mac, one that is done, do the same thing with the iPhone 5. Just make sure that everything you want to sync to the new phone is checked in iTune.
Sync the iPhone 4 to iTunes, perform a backup of it, then plug in the iPhone 5, then choose the restore from backup option. Then choose your backup.

When I look up the IMEI of my broken iphone 5s on iphoneimei.info it says it's 16gb and when I look it up on imei.info it says it's 32gb… Which site is more accurate? I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
