How to backup iPhone and transfer contents?
I'm switching from iphone 4, to iphone 5s. How do I save/backup the contents of my current phone? Do the messages, contacts, and photos get saved? If so, how do i do it, and how will I transfer them to my new phone?
You can do 1 of two things:
1) turn on your iCloud for everything you want to be saved to your new phone, then let it back it all up to the iCloud
2) *recommended by me* back up your entire phone to your computer through iTunes. When you get your new phone, go ahead and got restore and you can download everything to your new phone.
Your messages and notes may or may not be saved no matter which one you choose to do, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm positive about the notes not saving. The second option is really the easiest and less time consuming!
Iphone transfer software can transfer any files including music, videos, photos, etc. Between any two iOS devices like iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 4, iPad, ect. In one click.
ITunes.
Backup the 4 & restore from that backup on the 5s.
- Will my iphone work faster if I reset all the contents and media files? Ok, so my iPhone 3g is kind of having some trouble. It's like everything works in a SLOW-MO and it sucks. I just wanted to know if my iphone will work faster like a brand new one if I reset it. If not, then any other way?
- Sync a single album to iphone without deleting contents of iphone? So basically I had to delete itunes and everything in it went, too. I have music on my phone from CD's I've lost or binned etc. So I was just wondering how do I sync single albums to my phone without deleting contents of iPhone? When I go to click sync, a box comes up asking if I want to remove existing items from iPhone.
- Is there a way(without computer)to move my texts from my iPad to my IPhone? ICloud backup? Had to restore phone to last backup and lost texts? Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
- If I delete contents from iCloud drive does that I'm deleting contents from the MacBook Air? Also, is there a way of transferring contents from iCloud drive to Mac and if so, how is it done? I want to delete everything in my iCloud and keep those contents on my Mac.
