How to be more patient while waiting for iphone 5s?
Basically, sometime in January I'm getting a new 5s. But I'm getting so impatient and excited about it! It's because I've had the phone I have now since the start of 8th grade (I'm halfway through 10th now) and I was actually supposed to get an upgrade more than a year ago. My mom has been putting it off for a LONG time.
And before you say it, I'm not being spoiled. Whenever my mom would delay it before, I was fine with it, because my phone still worked, I had headphones for music, and I have a kindle anyway. But my headphones broke (at least I had them for 3 years) and my phone is seriously jacked (it routinely calls the police by accident). Since it's more a a burden at this point than anything, I need a new one, and my mom promised my the 5s for being so patient before.
But now that I really need it and I know that it's coming, I'm too excited about it. All I've been doing recently is googling things on the net about, searching for accessories, talking about how cool it's gonna be, and more; it's getting a little obsessive, and I've still get at least 5 weeks before it gets here.
My question is, how can I calm myself down? If it's bad now, I can't imagine how it'll be by mid-January (I'm already running out of articles!)
(P.S., I can't just not think about it, because I do every time I look at or have to use my current phone).
Added (1). @Retired RN: I get straight A's. My grades couldn't be any better no matter what. That's partly why my mom wants to reward me.
@saraimay75: There aren't any volunteer shelters in my area, and I do theater and marching band, so I don't have time for it anyway.
If this is seriously all you think about, its quite obvious that you need to find more things to do. Are your grades good? Maybe you need more responsibility around the house.
I wish I were a teenager with nothing else to worry about.
Volunteer for a homeless shelter my by seeing people who have very little or nothing you will realize just how much you have.
Get some hobbies if all you think about is your phone. Can you concentrate in class because your so excited for the phone? If not you must have adhd or something. Stay afterschool for clubs, sports, go to friends houses. Don't look up anything online about your phone or youll like explode. Read a book, listen to music…
Read the whole user manual for the phone - you should be able to find it online. Start researching apps that you would like to have and make a list.
Just hold up. I have the gold 5s and it really isn't anything that special. I got mine the day it came out.
I went through this too! Focus on school (that's what I did even though I also get straight As) maybe look for some apps that could help you with school so at least your using your time wisely. Digits (calculator) and Quizlet (flashcards) are really useful apps
- Will buying more iCloud space let me download more apps, songs, and photos? So i have deleted apps that i don't really need and deleted songs i don't listen to but still there's not enough space to even take a photo, A pop up comes up that says to manage my icloud storage. Would purchasing more icloud storage allow me to download more apps and have more songs and pictures on my iPhone 4 from sprint? It is an 8gb i think.
- Why does my laptop get such bad internet download speed while my Iphone gets 10 times more? My router is downstairs connected to a Windows vista PC. That PC connected with an ethernet cable gets around 90-100Mbs download speed. I did another speed test on my iphone upstairs next to my laptop, and it got 80-90 Mbs. But When I did the speed test on my laptop, it was only 10Mbs down. It's really annoying because it takes like a billion years to open youtube and everything lags.
- More you use an app the more space it takes up on iPhones and iPads? I have an iPad and new iPhone 5 that I just got. I have rhapsody on both the same app and amount of music basically (iPad as seven more songs on app) but on the iPad the rhapsody app takes up 2.8 GB and the iPhone takes up 1.8GB. Why is that? The more use the app the more space it takes up even if you're not adding new content?
- If I get more iCloud storage does that mean I have more space to download apps, music etc? Recently got an iPhone and it's only 8gb and I've hardly got anything on it and its saying storage full help me
