How to block anonymous calls on iPhone?

Last night, I received a harassing phone call from an unknown number. It literally says "unknown caller" as the caller ID. I tried googling on how to do this, but I only got how to block callers in which the number is known. How can I make it so that calls without caller ID shown can't come through to my iPhone 4S?

I don't think you can block the number unless you know the number that is calling. If it gets really bad then change your number and tell your friends you trust the new number. If it still caries on, record what they do when they call you and contact the plice they can trace unknown numbers

Go into your contacts and put in the name "unknown caller" give it a # any # save it, now go into you're settings find phone and find blocked open it click on add new this will open you're contacts find and click on unknown caller that's it

So for an anonym caller you can do nothing?

  • When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
  • My ask.fm won't let me ask anonymous? I have an iPhone 4, and I didn't update to iOS7. When the ask.fm app had an update recently, it didn't allow people to ask anonymous. So people could delete it then just not update it when they redownloaded it. Well I have deleted it like 3 times and I haven't updated it either. Why can't I ask anonymous questions still? And how can I?
  • Is it possible to block block numbers? I have a iPhone I just a call about an hour ago. It was from a blocked number they left a voice mail witch was only 3 seconds long. S/he didn't even say anything. I would love to know if I can block this. They are really scary for me.
