How to bring my whatsapp alerts back?

Whenever anyone sends me a whatsapp message I only revive it when I actually open the app, so how can I bring the alerts back even when the app isn't opened? Btw I have an IPhone 5, thanks

Go to Chats
Then press the menu button (not on the screen)
Click on settings (on screen now)
Scroll down to notifications

I'll let you figure out the rest for yourself, I hope I was of help. - I hope it's like that on the iPhone 5!

Make sure notifications is on in settings… Work now?

if not, reboot the phone… Work now?

if not, hard reboot (power+home key until apple logo apears) … Work now?

if not, uninstall and reinstall what's app… Work now?

if not, and all other notifications work fine, then contact Whatsapp developers on app store…

  • Does deleting the whatsapp app, automatically delete my whatsapp account? On an iPhone, if I delete the whatsapp app, does that automatically delete my whatsapp account? If I just delete the app without deleting the account within whatsapp? Like, lets say its a mistake, when your phone is in your pocket or something. And if i reinstall it after a couple of weeks, will I still have my account, favourite contacts, messages etc?
