How to call from the us to Australia?
I really need help, my girlfriend is in Australia and I'm in the USA and I need to be able to call her. We both have iPhone 4S, I have sprint, I live in Oregon and she lives in Tasmania. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't wanna text or video chat, just call. Any apps or tips on what numbers to dial and prices would be greatly appreciated.
Just call +61 and then her number without the leading zero. So it will be +614XXXXXXXX. No area code is needed.
Check the cost with your carrier - expect it to be expensive.
Skype. You can both use Skype free, or you can call a cellphone from Skype for a lot less than it would cost to ring direct. You can even get apps to use Skype on your cell.
If that doesn't work try phonecards. They are a lot cheaper than calling direct. When I'm in the USA I get them from convenience stores like 711.

My mother in Phoenix dials 011 61 then the number in OZ.
011 is international access
61 is the Australian Country Code.

Just pick up the phone. Australia 's code is 61 but first you must put in the exit code for the US,. Then 61, then put in the state code for Tasmania, her number next and you are away
All this information is in the telephone directory in your state.
Why don't you use Skype, it will be the cheapest?

- Will it show up as a missed call if i call someone by accident for half a ring? So I accidentally called my ex on his iphone, but I quickly realized my mistake and hung up after a half ring. Like you know how when you're calling someone it rings, I hung up after the first riiiing. My question is, will it show up on his phone as a missed call? I tested it out on 2 friends. One iphone 5 and iphone 4. They both told me they didn't get a call. Am I in the clear?

My current phone keypad on the iPhone 6s Plus only shows 1-9,0 *, and # buttons.
