How to cancel an iphone update?
I recently decided to update my iphone. It told me to connect to iTunes, and I did, and now it is telling me I have to restore my phone completely to even connect to iTunes. I do not want to do this because there are many important things to me currently on my phone. I tried to hold the home and lock button to restart it, but it just brings me back to the screen that tells me to connect to iTunes. Is there any way I can just cancel it completely?
You don't need iTunes to update. You can do it via Wi-Fi. Your phone tried to update and got stuck in recovery mode.
Hopefully this will work. And remember to backup and sync with iTunes ever so often so this won't happen again. Best luck.
- In the middle of an iPhone update and my iTunes won't recognise my phone in order to continue to update. Can I stop the update now? Neither the computer nor iTunes are recognising my phone and I've been working on his for an hour, I want to stop the update so I can go to bed, how can I do that? It's only at the stage where it has a symbol on the screen of the iPhone cable linking to iTunes
- If you cancel an iphone call the other end doesn't get it, does it? Like if I accidentally call someone on my iphone and quickly hang up after like a second, does the other end hear the phone ring or even know someone called? They don't have an iphone by the way. I went to recent calls and it said for that call that it was cancelled.
- If I cancel my Verizon plan can I sell my iPhone 4? I've had it over a month and they completely lied to be about the charges and I can't pay them off. If I cancel the plan can I sell the iPhone 4 since I only had it a month? Will it work for someone else?
- If I cancel my iphone can I still use imessage on Wi-Fi? So, if I cancel my cellphone service, then I lose my phone number and isn't the imessages sent according to phone number? How would I be able to send them?
