How to change your status bar color on iPhone?

We have already discovered iOS 6 to have a versatile status bar that changes colors to match the surrounding UI (user interface). Unfortunately, if you're jailbroken on iOS 5 like most people here are, then you are stuck between the boring black and gray status bars. If you don't want to be, then a new jailbreak tweak called StatusTint by iOS developer Rudolf Lichtner will give you the ability to change your status bar's colors.

The iOS 6 comes packed with a range of features which one can't overlook and along with these decent features come a handful of visual enhancements too. The color shades, expressing the local temperature, range from violet to red with a number of mixed colors in between. The first color, Violet represents the coldest temperature which is -20°C, while the color red is shown when the temperature is at or above 50°C. Colors like blue, green, yellow and several mixed ones are expressed when the temperature is within their respective ranges.
