How to charge an (Anker) external battery faster?

I'm experimenting with different usb adapters to charge my Anker external battery. The max input for the battery is 5V/2A. I have an iphone usb adapter that has an output of 5V/1A - this charges my battery much slower than a 5V/2A adapter. I want to know if I can use a usb adapter that has an output of 5V/3A without destroying my battery. Would the battery convert the power down to 2A automatically?

The reason why I ask this is because I want to buy these batteries as gifts. They do not come with a usb adapter so I would liek to find one that will work with the battery and NOT take an entire night to charge up.

High current reduces time of charging but damages battery…
try to use low current for charging so it will have a long life time…

  • Sound coming from my external iPhone battery? This may seem like an awkward question, but since when did batteries make a whirring sound? It's not like they have movable parts inside like a hard drive. I'll post the link to the exact external battery later.
  • LG Motion 4G: External battery cases? I know the iPhones and Samsung Galaxy S3s have external battery cases, like the Mophie Juice Pack (iPhone) that doubles the use time of their phone. Is there any known CASES that can do this for LG Motion?
  • Is there an iPhone 4/4s case where you could snap on and attach an external battery? IIm looking for an iPhone 4/4s case where you could simply snap on the battery when you need it, and when the phone is charged up, you take it off and put it away so the phone isn't bulky all the time. Or at least a power bank that hangs on the back of the phone and charges. IIm looking for something at least 1900mAh and under $25.
