How to clear All memory from an iPhone 5c if the screen is broken?

Pretty self explanatory. The screen popped right out of the plastic casing and there was nothing but a teeny tiny wire that was connecting the screen to the rest of the phone, which of course snapped and now the screen doesn't work because it is disconnected from the rest of the phone. However, I connected the phone to my computer and it appears on iTunes so my question is, can I clear absolutely All the memory from the phone using iTunes? And that means All apps, photos, text messages, music, internet data, absolutely GONE. And if I do erase all this, would it recover if I put my SIM card into a different iPhone or will it stay deleted? Because I have noticed in the past that all my memory always stays even if I do get a new iPhone, but I want it all gone.

You must have created your apple id - this account stores your all information. Try to access this account from a web browser and disconnect it from your iPhone + block or erase the info from it - I think this is possible. Or call apple support - they will help you figure it out)
