How to close apps on iphone without home button?

My iphone screen is cracked I got it wet and now the home button doesn't work is there anyway to close apps without hitting the home button so I don't have to turn my phone off everytime I want to go to a different app?

Sorry man but there's no way you will just have to fix it.

You can get the home button on your screen, you will have to restart your iPhone if it's stuck on an app though;

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to General
3. Go to Accessibility
4. Scroll down until you find the Assistive Touch

Your reply was very helpful a lot of people asked on the Internet how to close apps without pushing the home button. While I'm not handicapped I believe that the less I push the home button the longer it will last.

  • Whenever I double-tap on the home button on my iphone, it doesn't let me close apps? Usually you just double-tap the home button, the app windows come up, and you can swipe them up to close them, right? I'm not sure what happened but nothing happens when I do this now. Also I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but imessage is kind of screwed up too, because whenever I try to type something, the text box covers up the latest text. So if you know what's going on, please tell me what I need to do to fix this, Thanks!
